The position interprets simple internal and external business challenges and recommends best practices to improve products, processes, or services, while staying informed of industry trends that may influence work.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related field.
10+ years progressive experience in purchasing, materials management, or similar roles.
5+ years in a management role.
Ability to prove that you meet the status of a U.S. Person as one of the following: U.S. lawful permanent resident, U.S. Citizen, have been granted asylee or refugee status (i.e., a protected individual under the Immigration and Naturalization Act, 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)).

Strong experience in working with financial information as a means of decision making, pricing comparisons & benchmarking
Knowledge of information technologies and services including software licensing models for SaaS and AI models
Ability to lead and motivate cross functional teams to deliver and implement sourcing events
Drive to execute under extreme deadline pressures and with multiple priorities
Strong oral and written communication skills including ability to present to executive leadership.
Demonstrated project management skills to document, plan, and execute programs and identify and resolve roadblocks for execution.

Responsibilities

Define supplier strategy including management and optimization of supplier panels.
Lead negotiations and allocate needs to specific suppliers.
Negotiate terms and conditions and transmit information to Procurement.
Manage claims.
Includes commercial sourcing management such as data analysis, negotiations support, etc. This may also include purchasing activities.
Manages a small to medium team of senior professionals.
Requires specialized depth and/or breadth of expertise within their discipline.
May require strong commercial awareness, and is expected to influence the development of strategy within own area, including control of resources and influences policy formulation.
May lead functional teams or projects with minimal resource requirements, risk, and/or complexity.
Communicates difficult concepts and may influence others' options on particular topics.
May guide others to consider a different point of view.
Impacts the team's ability to achieve service, quality and timeliness of objectives.
Work is subject to functional policy objectives.
