About The Position

Kelvion Inc., one of the leading global and domestic manufacturers of heat exchangers is seeking to hire an experienced Sourcing Associate to join our team. The Sourcing Associate will support Kelvion’s business strategy by developing and managing a supply base that can provide Kelvion with the best value, highest quality, and lowest total cost supply chain solution to secure a sustainable competitiveness advantage and support the recognition of Kelvion as quality and technology leader.

Requirements

Strong organizational skills.
Strong knowledge of metals fabrications, machining, and assembly operations.
Strong proven knowledge of Sourcing process and demonstrated cost savings strategy.
Strong proven negotiation skills.
Ability to function in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
Excellent customer service skills and problem solving.
Attention to detail.
Polite and professional.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Able to work independently and within a team environment.
Self-starter, proactive and enthusiastic.
Must successfully pass a MVR.

Nice To Haves

Knowledge of Syteline Operating system is an asset.
Travel based on business needs.

Responsibilities

Perform the Sourcing process and achieve targets of Cost Savings for Kelvion Inc.
Perform supplier qualifications and evaluations in conjunction with Quality.
Ensure invoiced costs from vendors match agreements.
Source and obtain price quotations from suppliers.
Compare pricing, specifications, and delivery dates to ensure cost effectiveness.
Accurately prepare and confirm purchase orders, forward copies to the supplier and others as required.
Maintain all transaction records using MRP system.
Record keeping including preparation and maintenance of purchasing files, monthly and YTD reports, product information and price lists.
Target specific areas of opportunity for improvements in the purchasing area, and add to staff meetings as topic of discussion.
Maintain supplier information.
Help ensure that all employees go home safely at the end of their working day.
Ensure Kelvion’s Standard of Excellence, which includes quality, is incorporated into every product we produce.
Adhere to all quality requirements that are inside of the Quality Management system.
Follow all company policies and procedures, including but not limited to Global Code of Business Principles, Code of Ethics and Business Conduct, Operational Framework.
