About The Position

The Field Supply Chain Team in North America immediately needs a Sourcing Analyst whose responsibilities will include centrally purchasing for Non-Otis material in support of our Field Service business. The successful candidate will be responsible for reviewing rope attributes and technical specifications, identifying appropriate internal Part Numbers (PN), and establishing approved PNs for future use. This role supports ongoing alignment between engineering specifications and sourcing strategies to ensure Otis service and safety standards are met. The analyst will drive standardization of rope requirements, identify, evaluate, and select qualified rope suppliers based on total cost, quality, lead time, capacity, and risk. They will allocate orders to the best total cost supplier, identify opportunities to transition field demand to approved suppliers, and realize category savings for rope commodities through sourcing strategies, supplier consolidation, and specification optimization. The role involves seeking, negotiating, and executing supply agreements, managing end-to-end order execution, preparing purchase orders (POs) for non-Otis rope materials, ensuring supplier PO and price confirmations, and managing logistics to ensure on-time delivery. The analyst will also perform timely escalation of supply, quality, pricing, or delivery issues and drive resolution, execute defined centralized sourcing processes, and work with Field teams to understand application requirements and identify opportunities to shift demand to approved rope suppliers. Partnering with Engineering to evaluate alternate suppliers and technical solutions is also a key responsibility, driving toward the goal of 100% rope spend under management. Integrating spend data, field feedback, supplier performance, and delivery metrics into commodity strategies and roadmaps, and analyzing and forecasting demand to determine stock vs. catalog opportunities are also part of the role. Additionally, the analyst will identify opportunities to expand and maintain rope offerings within the Field Requisition System (FRS).
