We’re excited to add a Source to Pay Specialist to our North America Supply Chain team. In this role, you’ll support sourcing strategy and execution across the U.S., Canada, and Mexico—helping ensure a reliable, cost effective, and sustainable supply base. You’ll partner closely with internal teams and external suppliers, balancing strategic sourcing work with hands on execution. Your contributions will directly support operational continuity, supplier performance, and long term category strategy across direct materials such as initiation systems, high explosives, packaging, and films. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or a related field
  • 3–6 years of experience in sourcing, procurement, or supply chain roles
  • Experience working with suppliers in an industrial or manufacturing environment
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Proficiency in Excel
  • ERP experience (SAP preferred)
  • Exposure to sourcing strategies, RFx processes, and supplier negotiations
  • Strong communication and relationship‑building skills across cultures and regions
  • Ability to balance strategic thinking with day‑to‑day execution

Nice To Haves

  • Spanish is an asset (not required) due to regular interaction with Mexico‑based suppliers

Responsibilities

  • Support sourcing activities in alignment with Orica’s safety and environmental standards
  • Promote responsible and compliant sourcing practices
  • Adhere to procurement policies and applicable regulatory requirements
  • Assist in developing and executing sourcing strategies across North America
  • Conduct market and supplier analysis to identify cost, risk, and continuity opportunities
  • Support supplier diversification and dual sourcing initiatives
  • Participate in supplier negotiations and agreement implementation
  • Build strong, professional relationships with key suppliers
  • Support supplier onboarding, qualification, and performance tracking
  • Partner with quality and technical teams to resolve supplier‑related issues
  • Lead or support RFx processes and supplier evaluations
  • Analyze cost structures and identify savings or efficiency opportunities
  • Coordinate with stakeholders to align sourcing decisions and timelines
  • Support contract execution and ongoing supplier governance
  • Work closely with Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Engineering, and Finance
  • Coordinate with regional and global teams for alignment and transparency
  • Contribute to continuous improvement and supply risk mitigation initiatives
