The Sound Video Technician Controls role focuses on configuring, sustaining, troubleshooting, and assisting with repairs of complex electro-mechanical equipment, programmable logic controllers, and machinery. While maintenance and installation are limited, a strong ability to troubleshoot, configure, and sustain these systems is essential. The position involves responding to and resolving reliability issues affecting controls systems, ensuring the quality of all characters and effects in a timely manner. Communication is key, requiring accurate and timely updates on the operational status of attractions and show venues to management, clients, and stakeholders. The technician will also assess and communicate objectives to other technicians, support operating groups professionally, and adhere to all EHS and Standard Operating Procedures. Documentation of sustaining work, downtime response, and design optimizations is required, as is assisting in the development of processes to enhance system efficiencies and productivity. Promoting extraordinary guest service and maintaining proficiency in assigned responsibilities are also core aspects of the role.
