About The Position

The Sonographer performs obstetrical and gynecologic ultrasound procedures for University Associates in Obstetrics & Gynecology, UFPC, in Lake Grove, New York. This per-diem position is scheduled as needed and pays $48.50–$55.45. The role includes performing a range of ultrasound examinations and documenting procedures to create a permanent record of functional and anatomical assessments. The Sonographer may also assist with amniocentesis and chorionic villus sampling and perform other duties assigned by management.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Eligibility for RDMS certification.
• Two years of full-time experience in radiographic procedures, or an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
• Degree or certificate of completion from an accredited medical diagnostic sonography program.
• Obtain ARDMS certification within two years of hire.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with obstetric and gynecologic scanning, infertility (transvaginal) scanning, sonohysterography, and obstetric ultrasound procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform obstetrical Level II ultrasounds.
• Perform Level I ultrasounds.
• Perform nuchal translucency, fetal echocardiography, and Doppler studies.
• Perform biophysical profiles.
• Record and document specific procedures to provide a permanent record of functional and/or anatomical assessment.
• Perform gynecologic transabdominal and transvaginal ultrasounds.
• Perform sonohysterograms.
• Assist with amniocentesis and chorionic villus sampling.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
