About The Position
Anna Jaques Hospital is seeking a Sonographer to join our team of imaging professionals supporting outpatient, inpatient, and emergency department patients. This role provides high-quality ultrasound imaging on patients of all ages and is responsible for assuring that the images of US procedures are sent to the PACS in an accurate, safe and timely manner. The Sonographer delivers exemplary customer service to patients.
Requirements
- RDMS certified or obtained within 6 months of hire.
- BLS certification required.
Nice To Haves
- 1 year of experience preferred but will train a new graduate.
Responsibilities
- Performs a variety of high-quality diagnostic ultrasound exams and special diagnostic ultrasound procedures under the direction of the Ultrasound Supervisor and Radiologist.
- Exams performed include abdominal, pelvic, obstetrical, vascular, breast, and other small parts evaluations.
- Special procedures include fine needle aspirations, breast core biopsies, and wire localization (will train as needed).
- Assures that the images of US procedures are sent to the PACS in an accurate, safe and timely manner.
