About The Position
The Global Ambassador is hiring a Sommelier to contribute to its market-leading beverage program, where wine is a main pillar of the guest experience. Sommeliers work across multiple restaurants, offering opportunities to broaden their experience and develop leadership skills. The program is led by Wine Director Jonathan Ross MS and Assistant Wine Director Laura Bruno. The role focuses on curating and maintaining the wine list, guiding guests through selections and pairings, supporting wine service operations, and helping develop the team’s wine knowledge. The position is in a dynamic, fast-paced hospitality environment centered on teamwork and excellence. The Global Ambassador is an Equal Opportunity & E-Verify Employer. Requirements
- At least 2 years of luxury dining room and/or wine experience.
- Proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
Responsibilities
- Curate and maintain an engaging wine list in collaboration with chefs and the management team.
- Offer food and wine pairing recommendations to elevate guests’ dining experiences.
- Educate and guide guests through wine selections, including varietals, regions, and styles.
- Ensure the wine cellar is stocked, organized, and managed to support service needs.
- Train and support wait staff by sharing wine knowledge and pairing insights.
- Plan and host wine tastings and special events to enhance guest engagement and the brand experience.
- Uphold health, safety, and alcohol service regulations.
- Stay current on wine trends, regions, and winemaking techniques to continually enhance offerings.
