About The Position

Four Seasons is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sommelier to join their team at The Surf Club, an iconic beachside hotel in Miami Beach. The role involves advising guests on wine selections, supervising wine service, managing the wine list within budget, and conducting regular staff training. The Sommelier will also be responsible for wine inventories and collaborating with the restaurant's General Manager and Chef on product development. Experience with Italian cuisine and wines is highly preferred.

Requirements

  • 2-5 years of previous Sommelier experience in a fine dining setting.
  • Must be a self-starter.
  • Possess a positive attitude.
  • Comfortable working alongside a team of Food & Beverage professionals.
  • US work authorization is required unless the candidate is currently in a managerial position at a Four Seasons location.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with and knowledge of Italian cuisine and wines is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Advise guests on wine selection.
  • Supervise the day-to-day wine service.
  • Select and consolidate the wine list by adhering to the budget and beverage cost, the requests of the guests and the concept of the outlet.
  • Conduct staff training on product knowledge with a weekly frequency.
  • Work closely with Lido Restaurant General Manager and Lido Restaurant Chef for product development.
  • Responsible for weekly and monthly wine inventories of all F&B outlets.
  • Create, modify, and print the wine list.
