About The Position

As a Solutions Specialist for AI Referral Management at Assort Health, you will sit at the intersection of product, sales, and AI operations — serving as the dedicated expert for our Referral Management product line. You will parachute into deals, bring deep domain credibility, and partner closely with our Referral Management Product Manager to ensure this capability gets sold and adopted effectively. This is a high-visibility, high-impact role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, early-stage environment and is passionate about both technology and healthcare. You will work directly with health systems, specialty practices, and our internal teams to ensure Assort's AI voice agents deliver measurable results in referral workflows.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience in a Product Management, Solutions/Sales Engineer, or Sales role deeply focused on patient intake and scheduling or equivalent professional experience operating in healthcare
  • Strong understanding of healthcare referral workflows, including referral coordination, authorization, and specialist routing
  • Excellent communicator — able to translate complex AI/technical concepts for non-technical healthcare stakeholders
  • Experience with EHR platforms (Epic, Athena, Nextgen, or similar) and comfort navigating integrations and system workflows
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple active deals and customer relationships simultaneously

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the go-to product expert for Assort's Referral Management solution, engaging in active deals once referral management is in scope
  • Engage in sales conversations to deliver targeted demos, answer deep product questions, and drive conviction
  • Lead product demos and discovery calls tailored to referral coordinators, front-office operators, IT leaders, and clinical administrators
  • Support RFPs and technical evaluations with referral-specific product expertise
  • Develop and maintain expert-level knowledge of referral management workflows and how Assort's platform integrates with EHRs (Epic, Athena, Nextech, etc.) to streamline referral processing
  • Act as the sales arm of the Referral Management Product team — functioning as a close partner to the PM and serving as the bridge between what's built and what gets bought
  • Stay current on the competitive landscape and emerging trends in AI-driven referrals and document processing
  • Synthesize insights from customer and prospect interactions into structured, actionable product feedback for the Referral Management PM
  • Validate new referral features and capabilities before launch; contribute to shaping the roadmap based on deal learnings
  • Create and maintain product documentation, battlecards, FAQs, and customer-facing training materials specific to referral management
  • Collaborate with Account Executives, Solutions Engineers, and other specialists to help drive customer engagements from initial discovery through to solution deployment.
  • Collaborate with Customer Success to support adoption and identify upsell opportunities within the referral management product line
