About The Position

The SMB Solution Sales Consultant focuses on outbound engagement with new and existing retail businesses to drive adoption of the Moneris Total Commerce product suite, including Moneris Online, ISV partners, and value-added services. You will own monthly, quarterly, and annual sales objectives and work cross-functionally to advance Moneris’ retail commerce strategy and digital-first approach. Moneris is evolving the way Canadian retailers connect, sell, and grow through Moneris Total Commerce, our fully integrated retail commerce ecosystem, and Moneris Online, our industry-leading e-commerce and digital payments platform. As digital commerce accelerates across Canada, this role is critical in helping retailers adopt modern, omnichannel solutions that unify online, in-store, and back-office operations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or a related field, or equivalent relevant work experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in outbound prospecting and digital or inside sales environments.
  • Experience meeting or exceeding defined sales targets in a quota-based role.
  • Experience using CRM systems to manage pipeline and forecast activity.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in payments, e-commerce, website design, or digital marketing industries.
  • Bilingual capabilities in French, Cantonese, and/or Mandarin.
  • Experience working with Salesforce.

Responsibilities

  • Sell Moneris Total Commerce, Moneris Online, ISV partner solutions, and retail/restaurant vertical offerings to Canadian businesses.
  • Own and achieve defined monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
  • Manage the full sales lifecycle, maintaining lead-to-close conversion rates aligned with performance metrics.
  • Conduct outbound prospecting through referrals, inbound leads, campaigns, and targeted cold outreach when required.
  • Use a consultative approach to assess merchant needs and recommend appropriate omnichannel commerce solutions.
  • Deliver product demonstrations using video, screen sharing, and digital sales tools.
  • Provide a consistent, high-quality experience from initial engagement through close while maintaining accurate pipeline data and follow-up within established SLAs.
  • Act as a subject matter expert across retail and commerce solutions, including POS, e-commerce, online payments, inventory, and value-added services.
  • Partner with Sales, Marketing, Product, Sales Operations, Salesforce teams, FI partners, and Customer Experience teams to share market insights and support solution adoption.
  • Provide feedback on customer needs, competitive trends, and product performance to inform ongoing sales and product strategies.
