About The Position

We are seeking a senior, hands-on Walmart Connect expert to join our team as a Solutions Manager leading our Walmart media practice. This individual will bring deep, intuitive experience across Walmart on-site and off-site platforms (including DSP, Sponsored Search, and Display) and serve as the strategic voice for clients. The ideal candidate is not just an executor of campaigns, but a proactive leader who anticipates optimizations, communicates tradeoffs clearly, and confidently guides clients through performance strategy and growth opportunities. Strategic Walmart Connect Leadership: Take ownership of strategic direction across Walmart on-site and off-site campaigns. Move beyond execution by proactively identifying optimization opportunities, audience strategies, budget allocations, and performance tradeoffs to drive stronger outcomes. Client-Facing Leadership: Confidently lead kickoff calls, weekly performance reviews, and ongoing optimization discussions. Clearly articulate performance drivers, including ROAS versus new-buyer acquisition tradeoffs, audience impacts, and incrementality considerations. Serve as the primary strategic voice on client engagements without requiring additional senior oversight. Optimization & Recommendation Ownership: Develop and present proactive recommendations, including budget shifts, audience refinements, tactic adjustments, incremental investment strategies, and mid-campaign pivots. Advise on auto versus manual search strategies, keyword expansion, and bid optimizations to maximize results. Walmart Innovation & Beta Testing Partnership: Partner directly with the Walmart Connect team to test new products, features, and beta opportunities (including emerging solutions such as Social and other off-site capabilities). Provide structured feedback, evaluate performance impact, and translate learnings into scalable client recommendations. Revenue Growth Enablement: Support ambitious revenue and growth goals by helping scale Walmart on-site revenue toward ~$1.2M and contributing to ~41% year-over-year growth in the Walmart business. Identify expansion opportunities within existing accounts and unlock incremental value. Team Development & Mentorship: Act as a force multiplier for the broader team by mentoring internal associates and managers. Accelerate learning curves through hands-on coaching, real-world examples, and strategic guidance that elevates overall team capability. Cross-Platform Retail Media Expansion: Apply retail media expertise beyond Walmart to platforms such as Target, Costco, Casey’s, and other retail media networks. Bring particular strength in DSP and off-site retail media environments to inform broader commerce media strategy.

Requirements

  • Extensive, hands-on experience with Walmart Connect, including Sponsored Search, Display, and DSP (on-site and off-site).
  • Proven ability to lead client-facing strategy conversations independently and confidently.
  • Deep understanding of retail media performance metrics, including ROAS, new-to-brand acquisition, incrementality, and audience targeting tradeoffs.
  • Strong strategic mindset with the ability to anticipate optimizations rather than react to issues.
  • Demonstrated success scaling retail media revenue and driving year-over-year growth.
  • Experience mentoring team members and elevating overall strategic capability.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex performance data into clear, actionable insights.
  • Candidates must have authorization to work in the U.S. without the need for employer sponsorship now or in the future.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience across additional retail media networks (Target, Costco, etc.) is a plus.
  • Participate in sales conversations prior to client kickoff to provide strategic guidance, shape opportunities, and instill confidence in prospective clients. Reduce dependency on senior leadership during the sales process while strengthening win rates.
