Learn more at insightsoftware.com. insightsoftware is seeking a Solutions Engineer reporting directly to the Director of Solutions Engineering. This position will handle product demonstrations, pre-sales support and partner enablement for our budget consolidation business unit. The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between our sales and post-sales teams, providing expert guidance to prospects on how our products can address their specific business challenges. You should have a consulting mindset and experience mapping customer requirements to software solutions. This is a remote based role.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years in a sales engineering, presales, solutions consulting or solutions engineering role, within the EPM, ERP, or financial software industry.
  • Proficiency in EPM and/or ERP platforms and a solid understanding of financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities, with the capacity to convey complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
  • Strong analytical skills with a proactive approach to identifying and addressing client challenges.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting a software platform/product in a customer-facing B2B environment.
  • Experience with SAP and/or Oracle platforms.
  • Experience with Rest APIs.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.

Responsibilities

  • Develop a deep understanding of our solutions, including features, benefits, and competitive advantages.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to identify client needs and tailor presentations that demonstrate how our solutions can meet those requirements.
  • Conduct compelling product demonstrations, highlighting the value and capabilities of our offerings to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Work closely with prospects to design custom solutions that align with their business processes and objectives.
  • Assist in crafting detailed proposals and responses to RFPs, ensuring technical accuracy and alignment with prospect needs.
  • Gather insights from prospect interactions to inform product development and enhance our solutions.

Benefits

  • The salary range in United States of America for this position is 111,000.00 to 139,000.00 USD Annual.
  • For non-sales roles, you may be eligible for a bonus.
  • For sales roles, this range includes a commission target.
