About The Position

Airspace is seeking a Solutions Engineer to join its R&D team. This role is responsible for translating complex customer Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) into precise, custom workflows within Airspace's core system. The Solutions Engineer will also configure mobile workflows for drivers in the field, ensuring all customer-specified actions are performed correctly. This position is ideal for someone who thrives on making ambiguous and complicated processes exact and precise.

Requirements

  • 2–4+ years of experience in solutions engineering, implementation, systems configuration, business analysis, or a comparable role.
  • Proven background in parsing complicated SOPs into actionable process flow diagrams or structured workflows.
  • Exceptional organization and attention to detail.
  • Comfort working with structured data and configuration logic (e.g., JSON, rules engines, conditional/branching logic).
  • Ability to read, reason about, and build logical rule structures confidently.
  • Strong communication and requirements-gathering skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with process-mapping tools (e.g., BPMN, Lucidchart, Visio).
  • Logistics, supply chain, or operations experience.
  • Manager aspirations are a plus, as the role may grow into an organizational leadership position.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with onboarding, operations, account management, and product teams to gather requirements, clarify ambiguity in customer SOPs, and validate configured workflows.
  • Serve as the bridge between customer needs and platform delivery.
  • Translate detailed customer SOPs into accurate, custom workflows within Airspace's core platform, building and maintaining JSON-defined workflow diagrams.
  • Own the accuracy and completeness of workflow configurations end-to-end.
  • Configure mobile workflows for drivers, ensuring all required steps are presented correctly and in the right sequence.
  • Rigorously test and validate workflows before deployment and iterate as customer requirements change.
  • Identify common patterns across customers and design reusable workflow components and templates.
  • Help shape tooling, standards, and best practices for workflow configuration.
  • Own metrics that prove workflow configurations are working as intended, tracking adherence, automation rate, and service-level performance.
  • Continuously identify areas for refinement based on performance signals.
