About the position
As an Airbyte Solutions Engineer, you will have the opportunity to work closely with the GTM team to improve the qualification and onboarding process for new customers. This role involves collaborating with multiple teams to support sales and post-sales functions, aiming for better qualification, quicker deal cycles, and customer satisfaction. Responsibilities
- Be a technical expert on the nuances and details of data movement via Airbyte.
- Work directly with Sales to technically qualify prospects and close deals.
- Work directly with external technical counterparts (Head of Engineering, Data Engineering Leads, Analysts, etc.) to scope Airbyte engagements.
- Work directly with Airbyte technical support to ensure customer success.
- Document technical requirements, workflows, and functionality of prospects.
- Communicate technical feature requests and competitive intelligence internally.
- Frequently demonstrate the use and best practices of Airbyte’s product.
- Represent and evangelize Airbyte externally at conferences, road shows, and customer events.
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience in a B2B customer-facing role, ideally as a sales engineer or similar
- 2+ years of SaaS/tech/startup experience
- Solid understanding and familiarity with two or more modern scripting languages (e.g. Python, Node.js, SQL) and/or popular programming languages (e.g. C/C++, Java, C#)
- Familiarity (and preferably experience) with modern data infrastructure - cloud applications and databases, ELT, warehouses, etc.
- Strong interpersonal and presentation skills
- Remote - US East time zones required; NYC preferred
