About The Position

Contact Discovery Services, a Washington, DC-headquartered eDiscovery technology and consulting firm, is seeking a Solutions Developer to design, develop, test, and maintain custom software solutions, database applications, and low-code business platforms. The role works with internal teams and participates in client consultations to scope, build, and maintain applications for internal operations and client-facing projects.

The position focuses on application development with C# (.NET) and Python, relational database development and quality control, and business solutions using low-code platforms such as Quickbase or Microsoft Power Platform. The developer will also assist with script output and data extraction from large Oracle database environments, and support automation, AI-enabled solutions, and integrations where applicable.

The role is part of a collaborative consulting environment and involves documenting work, contributing to technical discussions, and communicating project status, risks, and recommendations to technical and non-technical audiences. The start date is negotiable. The salary range is $110,000–$145,000. Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent professional experience.
• At least 3 years of software development experience.
• Strong experience developing applications using C# (.NET) and Python.
• Experience with relational database systems, including Oracle, SQL Server, and PostgreSQL or similar platforms.
• Strong SQL development and database troubleshooting skills.
• Experience with software testing and quality assurance practices.
• Familiarity with REST APIs and system integrations.
• Ability to independently troubleshoot technical problems and develop practical solutions.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with Quickbase development and administration.
• Experience with Microsoft Power Platform, including Power Apps, Power Automate, and Dataverse.
• Experience developing integrations between business applications.
• Familiarity with Model Context Protocol (MCP) frameworks and related AI integration concepts.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain applications using C# (.NET) and Python.
• Develop custom utilities, automation tools, scripts, and integrations for business operations and client projects.
• Troubleshoot and resolve software defects and performance issues.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to development standards and best practices.
• Use approved generative AI platforms to help generate work products while applying quality assurance and control to ensure outputs meet development standards.
• Develop and validate data extraction and reporting solutions using SQL and relational databases.
• Review, test, and validate script output for accuracy, completeness, and data integrity.
• Develop SQL queries, views, stored procedures, and other database objects as needed.
• Document data structures, workflows, and database relationships.
• Support quality assurance for large-scale database exports and reporting projects.
• Assist with developing and administering Quickbase applications and other low-code platforms.
• Build automations, workflows, dashboards, and integrations to streamline business processes.
• Gather stakeholder requirements and translate business needs into technical solutions.
• Evaluate when low-code solutions are appropriate alternatives to traditional development.
• Support implementation and integration of modern automation and AI-enabled solutions.
• Assist with Model Context Protocol (MCP) development and integrations when applicable.
• Evaluate technologies that may improve efficiency, scalability, and user experience.
• Participate in Advisory Services proof-of-concept and innovation initiatives.
• Create and maintain technical documentation.
• Participate in project planning sessions and technical design discussions.
• Collaborate with project managers, advisory consultants, operations teams, and business stakeholders.
• Communicate project status, risks, and recommendations to technical and non-technical audiences.
