About The Position

The Solutions Developer works with Business Technology Partners to solve business problems with technology by automating processes, building tools and dashboards, and helping Minuteman Security & Life Safety streamline operations. AI-assisted development tools, including Cursor and Claude, are central to the role and are used to design, build, and test tools, automations, integrations, and dashboards. The developer reviews and tests AI-generated code to ensure it is secure, reliable, and meets team standards.

The role automates business processes and integrates systems using APIs, scripting, and other appropriate tools. It develops and supports integrations, internal tools, and small applications; builds and maintains dashboards and reports; and monitors and maintains these solutions. The developer partners with business teams to understand problems, refine requirements, and incorporate user feedback. Responsibilities also include troubleshooting failures, documenting solutions, tracking work and changes in Azure DevOps, following testing and release procedures, and helping users adopt technology. The team is willing to train the right individual in its specific technology stack.

Requirements

• Hands-on experience with, or a strong interest in, AI-assisted development tools such as Cursor, Claude, or similar.
• Hands-on experience with a scripting or programming language such as Python, PowerShell, or JavaScript.
• Experience working with REST APIs, JSON, webhooks, and system integrations.
• Experience building dashboards and reports with modern reporting tools.
• Working knowledge of SQL and data modeling.
• Familiarity with Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Teams, SharePoint, and Azure.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for conveying technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
• Experience in software development, automation, or related fields.
• Positive attitude, creativity, and a sense of humor; comfortable with variety and working collaboratively.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with Paylocity, ConnectWise PSA, or ConnectWise CPQ; the employer indicates it will train the right person.
• Familiarity with Azure DevOps, source control, or similar tools.

Responsibilities

• Use AI-assisted development tools such as Cursor and Claude to design, build, and test tools, automations, integrations, and dashboards.
• Review and test AI-generated code for security, reliability, and compliance with team standards.
• Automate business processes across departments using APIs, scripting, and other appropriate tools.
• Develop and support integrations between systems such as Paylocity, ConnectWise PSA, ConnectWise CPQ, and Microsoft 365, including data mapping, error handling, and retry logic.
• Build, test, and enhance internal tools and small applications that improve departmental efficiency.
• Follow team standards for design, naming, environments, security, and connections.
• Build and maintain dashboards and reports, and help validate data quality and accuracy with business users.
• Work with Business Technology Partners and departments to understand business problems and turn them into technology solutions.
• Refine requirements and incorporate user feedback throughout development.
• Monitor automations, integrations, and tools, including time-entry and Paylocity webhook integrations, and promptly troubleshoot and resolve failures.
• Respond to issues escalated by the Application Support Specialist and Business Technology Partners.
• Document solutions, including their purpose, dependencies, owners, and support procedures.
• Track work and changes in Azure DevOps and follow testing and release procedures.
• Promote technology adoption by sharing solutions, helping users adopt tools, and identifying opportunities to streamline operations.
• Work closely with sales, management, and operations teams to serve customers.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
