About The Position

The Solutions Consultant – Advanced Process Control helps customers improve operational performance through Emerson and AspenTech advanced control technologies, with a primary focus on AspenTech DMC3. This customer-facing role combines process industry knowledge, technical credibility, and consultative selling to identify advanced process control (APC) opportunities, shape solution strategies, and support successful project execution. The role supports customers across upstream and downstream Oil & Gas, mining, pharmaceuticals, power generation and distribution, chemicals, food and beverage, and pulp and paper.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related technical field; equivalent experience may be considered.
• Experience with advanced process control, model predictive control, process optimization, or industrial automation in process manufacturing environments.
• Strong consultative communication skills and ability to engage technical, operational, commercial, and executive stakeholders.
• Ability to travel as needed for customer meetings, workshops, site visits, and project support.

Nice To Haves

• Familiarity with Emerson and/or AspenTech platforms, especially AspenTech DMC3 or related APC and optimization solutions.

Responsibilities

• Lead APC-related opportunities through the sales process, from customer discovery and qualification through solution strategy, value development, proposal support, and transition to project execution.
• Position Emerson and AspenTech APC solutions, including AspenTech DMC3, to address customer needs and deliver measurable operational improvements.
• Translate customer requirements into solution strategies, implementation approaches, preliminary scopes of work, and value-based recommendations.
• Deliver customer presentations, executive briefings, technical workshops, and solution demonstrations communicating the value of APC.
• Collaborate with sales, engineering, delivery, and partner teams to develop proposals, estimates, pursuit strategies, and implementation plans.
• Advise customer and internal stakeholders on APC readiness, project dependencies, adoption considerations, and sustainment needs.
