About The Position

QAD is seeking an enthusiastic Solutions Consultant (Pre-Sales) to join their New Business Sales team. This role serves as the bridge between complex business challenges and QAD's high-performance solutions, partnering closely with Account Executives to win new clients. The Solutions Consultant will be the primary product and industry expert throughout the sales cycle, responsible for commanding an audience and demonstrating how technology can provide a competitive advantage. The position involves leading discovery sessions, qualifying functional fit, delivering outcome-driven presentations and software demonstrations, and collaborating strategically with the sales team on win strategies and RFP responses. Maintaining a premier level of knowledge regarding QAD's solutions, manufacturing industry trends, and the competitive landscape is crucial.

Requirements

  • Five+ years within a sales environment selling ERP.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain high morale and activity levels during long-tail deals.
  • Proven track record in a customer-facing Solution Consultant, Sales Engineer, or Pre-Sales role within the enterprise software (SaaS) space.
  • Solid understanding of manufacturing processes, supply chain dynamics, and quality management principles.
  • Ability to think on your feet, translate technical jargon into business value, and adapt quickly during live, outcome-focused demonstrations.
  • Experience with Generative AI in the workplace to make tasks efficient.

Nice To Haves

  • APICS Certifications: CPIM/CSCP
  • Hands-on experience or deep competitive knowledge of alternative ERP products (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Infor, Epicor, Microsoft Dynamics).
  • Familiarity with Generative AI applications and how they are transforming enterprise software and supply chain analytics.
  • Understanding of AWS infrastructure and modern cloud deployment methodologies.
  • An MBA or equivalent advanced degree in Business, Supply Chain, or Information Systems.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the Discovery: Conduct high-impact, interactive client discovery sessions to uncover deep business pain points, strategic goals, and operational bottlenecks.
  • Functional Fit Qualification: Actively participate in the qualification process, analyzing prospect requirements to ensure QAD's Adaptive ERP and complementary solutions meet their needs.
  • Deliver Outcome-Driven Presentations: Design, build, and deliver compelling software demonstrations and executive presentations focused on tangible business outcomes, ROI, and operational transformation.
  • Strategic Collaboration: Partner with the sales team to build customized win strategies, craft RFP/RFI responses, and navigate complex technical evaluations.
  • Be the Expert: Maintain a premier level of knowledge regarding QAD’s suite of solutions, manufacturing industry trends, and the competitive grid.
