About The Position

Lyra Health's Clinical Strategy team is seeking a seasoned Senior Operations Lead for a high-impact, 6-month contract engagement focused on driving our Joint Commission (TJC) Behavioral Health Care and Human Services (BHC) accreditation readiness. This role sits at the intersection of clinical strategy, regulatory execution, and cross-functional project management. Acting as the primary project lead, you will bridge the gap between Clinical Strategy, Clinical Operations, and key cross-functional teams to drive our accreditation roadmap. This role is ideal for a senior healthcare project manager who excels at translating complex regulatory mandates or compliance standards into actionable project plans. While familiarity with Joint Commission standards is preferred, we are primarily seeking an exceptional operational lead who can quickly get up to speed on TJC requirements, partner with clinical domain experts, and drive execution. You are a self-directed player-coach who is comfortable getting "in the weeds" with workstream leads to build compliance documentation while also zooming out to present a 30,000-foot risk assessment to leadership.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of healthcare project management, healthcare operations, or management consulting experience, preferably within high-growth health tech or clinical environments
  • Demonstrated track record of leading complex, cross-functional regulatory, compliance, or accreditation readiness initiatives from gap analysis through execution
  • Exceptional strategic and project management skills with the ability to influence cross-functional peers and senior leadership without direct authority
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; proven ability to distill complex clinical insights and regulatory requirements into actionable executive summaries
  • A highly organized self-starter who thrives in fast-paced, dynamic environments and can create structure out of ambiguity
  • Deep passion for expanding access to high-quality, evidence-based mental health care

Nice To Haves

  • Direct experience or familiarity with the accreditation process (e.g., The Joint Commission, CARF, NCQA, or other), specifically within Behavioral Health Care and Human Services (BHC) or virtual/telehealth models

Responsibilities

  • Refine, maintain, and drive the master Project Work Plan for TJC Behavioral Health and Telehealth accreditation readiness, establishing clear workstream milestones across clinical and operational teams.
  • Continuously identify gaps, compliance risks, and cross-functional dependencies; proactively update the roadmap and implement risk mitigation strategies.
  • Partner directly with workstream leads to deep-dive into specific TJC standards. Develop supporting materials and process documentation as needed.
  • Organize and project manage internal mock audits, tracer activities, and readiness drills to ensure operational teams are fully prepared for survey execution.
  • Establish clear communication cadences across stakeholders (live working groups, asynchronous updates, and project dashboards) to drive cross-functional accountability.
  • Develop concise, data-driven written updates for senior leadership to highlight progress, key milestones, and critical risks.
