About The Position

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a highly motivated Solutions Architect to accelerate customer adoption of the AWS cloud. As a Solutions Architect at AWS, you will work directly with customers, motivated by the opportunity to understand their needs and help them gain a competitive edge using AWS. You will act as an experienced technologist and a key member of the Account team, influencing customers' architectural choices across various use cases including security, compute, storage, networking, serverless, analytics, and AI/ML. You will provide exceptional technical design guidance and thought leadership, lead efforts to capture and share best-practice knowledge within the AWS solution architect community, and collaborate with and learn from industry experts.

Requirements

• 4+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures experience
• 6+ years of specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics) experience
• 6+ years of IT development or implementation/consulting in the software or Internet industries experience

Nice To Haves

• Experience in a technical role within a sales organization
• Experience migrating or transforming legacy customer solutions to the cloud

Responsibilities

• Own the technical engagement and ultimate success around specific implementation projects.
• Work cross-organizationally to facilitate widespread use and adoption of the AWS platform.
• Develop deep expertise in AWS technologies and broad know-how around application and service construction on the AWS platform.
• Represent AWS within the customer's environment and drive discussions with senior personnel regarding trade-offs, best practices, and risk mitigation.
• Think strategically about business, product, and technical challenges.
