About The Position

Hilbert is hiring a Solutions Architect to lead the technical side of enterprise sales in the NAM region. Supporting several account executives and managing multiple accounts at once, the role positions Hilbert as a growth layer on top of customers’ existing data stacks. As the first Solutions Architect in the region, this person will help establish how the function operates. The Solutions Architect leads technical evaluations with prospects’ data, engineering, and security teams. The role maps connections to data and advertising platforms, presents deployment patterns designed by product engineering, recommends an appropriate pattern, and creates the solution design and feasibility assessment that underpin each proposal. The person works with GTM colleagues to demonstrate technical value, develop a financial business case, and hand signed scopes to delivery engineers. The position reports to the regional GTM leader and serves as the technical counterpart to regional account executives. Product engineering designs the deployment patterns, and the engineering delivery team reviews solution designs before they reach customers and delivers the solutions. The role is based in the region, close to prospects, and involves around 50 percent travel.

Requirements

  • Extensive experience in technical pre-sales, solutions architecture, data engineering, or consulting, including scoping data and ML solutions for enterprise buyers.
  • A combination of technical experience and customer-facing readiness.
  • Experience carrying enterprise security and architecture reviews in a regulated industry through to a decision, with the ability to distinguish questions from blockers.
  • Ability to understand customer data stacks, including warehouses such as ClickHouse, Databricks, Snowflake, BigQuery, and Redshift, as well as CDPs, CRMs, advertising platforms, and their APIs, including data movement and associated costs.
  • Fluency in deployment and data-boundary concepts, including VPC and private link, cross-cloud connectivity, compute in place, data sharing, egress costs, data residency, and SOC 2 and ISO 27001 requirements.
  • Hands-on SQL skills and comfort reading Python, with the ability to implement scripts when necessary.
  • Clear writing and compelling presentation skills, including producing solution designs, data flows, and interfaces that engineers can build from.
  • Ability to present to technical and executive audiences, including CTOs and CMOs, and to state when a solution is not feasible.
  • Ability to work at startup pace across several simultaneous evaluations, initially without a team to delegate to.
  • Fluency in the business language of the region.

Nice To Haves

  • Databricks or Snowflake certification.
  • Experience with growth-focused data projects across industries such as e-commerce, retail, fintech, telco, or media, whether regulated or not.
  • Experience at a CDP or ad-tech vendor, or on the customer side of an ML or CDP deployment.

Responsibilities

  • Own technical strategy for assigned accounts from initial discovery through signed scope and documented solution design.
  • Identify the data-access path and its owner early in the sales process.
  • Own vendor security reviews with customer security counterparts, covering encryption, anonymization and hashing, role-based access control, retention, model-training boundaries, and access revocation.
  • Present Hilbert’s deployment and integration patterns, explain how its ML models and agents work across data ingestion, ML scoring, and activation into advertising and CRM platforms, and bring requested modifications to product engineering.
  • Translate prospects’ growth goals and use cases—including reactivation, acquisition quality, cross-sell, and product propensity—into data and activation designs their engineers agree are buildable.
  • Lead architecture walkthroughs, address live technical questions, and demonstrate proof using prospects’ own data and technology stacks in competitive evaluations.
  • Work with the GTM lead to turn technical proof into a financial business case and defend it to the client.
  • Hand each signed scope to delivery engineers.
  • Bring new cases and structured feedback to engineering and product teams and continue learning from them as the product develops.

Benefits

  • Room to grow and take on new challenges quickly.
  • Opportunity to take ownership of impact and help shape the path of a fast-growing company.
