About The Position

The Solution Architect is a hands-on technical leader responsible for design patterns, reusable components, and solution governance for the Finance Shared Services pillar. The role partners with AI/ML architects across the program and works closely with developers and engineers to ensure Finance Shared Services solutions are consistent, scalable, and aligned with enterprise architecture standards. The architect remains actively hands-on with UiPath and AI tooling while shaping the pillar’s technical direction.

The position works cross-functionally across Mayo Clinic departments and requires reliable delivery, initiative, project management, communication, organization, problem-solving, and facilitation skills. It involves solving complex technical and application problems across multiple technologies, working with healthcare technology and Epic, and exposure to both custom-developed and vendor-supplied applications. The role is 100% remote, and the employee may live anywhere in the United States. Visa sponsorship or transfer is not available.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree.
• Eight years of experience, including five years of demonstrated technical experience and three years of demonstrated leadership experience.
• Multiple (three or more) Epic certifications or relevant Intelligent Automation/AI certifications.
• Demonstrated project and deliverable consistency through repeatable and reliable performance.
• Initiative and self-motivation to complete tasks and assignments on time.
• Proven project management skills.
• Demonstrated oral and written communication, organization, problem-solving, and facilitation skills.
• Mastery-level expertise in multiple technologies.
• Ability to solve complex technical and application problems involving multiple technologies.
• Experience working in healthcare technology and Epic.
• Exposure to managing both custom-developed and vendor-supplied applications.
• Working knowledge of large language models, AI agents, and/or ML lifecycle management.
• Proven track record designing enterprise-scale solutions using automation platforms.

Nice To Haves

• Master’s degree in an applicable field.
• Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA) certification.
• Deep UiPath experience across Studio, Orchestrator, and at least one of Maestro, Document Understanding, or AI Center.
• Experience with AI-enabled workflows, including LLM or agentic components.
• Experience with Azure or another major cloud platform.
• Demonstrated experience defining standards, patterns, and governance for delivery teams.
• UiPath Solution Architect certification.
• Azure or AWS architect certification.

Responsibilities

• Define and maintain solution design patterns, reusable components, and architecture standards for the pillar.
• Partner with AI/ML engineers and the Revenue Cycle AI/ML architect to align agentic and ML patterns across pillars.
• Lead architecture and design reviews for pillar initiatives and ensure solutions meet quality, security, and reusability standards.
• Contribute hands-on to high-complexity builds in UiPath and integrated AI services.
• Own solution governance for the pillar, including design artifacts, non-functional requirements, and go-live readiness.
• Coach developers and engineers on design thinking, reuse, and modern automation patterns.
• Partner with enterprise architecture, security, and data governance to maintain alignment.
• Work cross-functionally across Mayo Clinic departments and complete tasks and assignments on time.
