About The Position

The Solution Specialist – Professional Services & Advisory Consulting is responsible for accelerating growth across Pomeroy's Professional Services and Advisory Consulting Services portfolio. This individual serves as a strategic overlay seller, partnering with Account Managers to identify opportunities, shape solutions, increase services attach rates, and drive profitable growth. This role exists to enhance Pomeroy's sales motion through business outcome-led professional services, advisory, and consulting engagements that increase services GP, improve deal qualification, and expand customer adoption of strategic solutions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 7-10+ years of proven services sales experience
  • Experience selling consulting, advisory, and project-based services
  • Strong business outcome-oriented selling approach
  • Executive-level communication skills
  • Experience influencing complex enterprise opportunities
  • Ability to operate effectively in an overlay sales model
  • Strong understanding of technology transformation initiatives

Responsibilities

  • Partner with Account Managers throughout the sales cycle including discovery, qualification, solution development, proposal creation, and deal strategy.
  • Create and develop net-new professional services and consulting opportunities independently.
  • Drive adoption of Professional Services and ACS offerings across existing and prospective customers.
  • Translate customer business challenges into consulting and transformation engagements.
  • Improve services attach rates across product-led opportunities.
  • Lead executive-level discussions focused on business outcomes and strategic initiatives.
  • Collaborate with delivery and consulting teams to ensure solution alignment.
  • Support strategic account planning and expansion initiatives.
  • Influence deal strategy, pricing, positioning, and competitive differentiation.
