About The Position

The Solution Engineer II helps organizations understand how modern Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC) solutions can transform their operations. The role partners with sales teams, engages senior stakeholders, delivers software demonstrations, and advises customers throughout the customer journey. It offers the opportunity to develop product expertise, influence strategic purchasing decisions, and build technical and commercial expertise in a SaaS environment.

The role follows a hybrid work model. Employees within commuting distance of a Diligent office are expected to work onsite at least 50% of the time.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of experience in Solution Engineering, Sales Engineering, Pre-Sales, or a similar customer-facing technical role.
• Proven experience delivering software demonstrations and presenting solutions to customers.
• Ability to translate business requirements into technology solutions.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, including confidence engaging audiences at all levels.
• Experience working with sales teams to support complex software sales cycles.
• Ability to quickly learn new technologies, products, and business domains.
• A proactive, self-driven approach and passion for continuous learning and development.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC), Ethics & Compliance, Risk Management, or Third-Party Risk Management.
• Experience working in a SaaS environment.
• Familiarity with AI tools and emerging technologies.
• Knowledge of Salesforce, Gong, or similar sales enablement platforms.
• Relevant certifications or specialist expertise in a compliance, risk, or governance domain.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging, consultative product demonstrations that address customer business challenges and goals.
• Partner with Account Executives on technical strategy for new opportunities and support successful deal outcomes.
• Understand customer requirements and design solutions aligned with their needs.
• Present to audiences ranging from operational users to executive stakeholders.
• Collaborate with Product Management and internal teams to share market feedback and support product innovation.
• Represent Diligent at customer-facing events, webinars, and industry engagements.
