About The Position

Wipro Limited is hiring a Solution Engineer to design, develop, test, and support healthcare integrations using the Rhapsody Integration Engine. The role builds interfaces between applications using HL7, FHIR, API, X12, XML, JSON, databases, and file-based integrations. It involves JavaScript transformation logic and connectivity options such as APIs, SFTP, and databases. The position is remote and based in Louisville, Kentucky, and is identified as a contract role.

The expected compensation ranges from $45,000 to $110,000. Final compensation depends on factors including geographical location, minimum wage obligations, skills, and relevant experience. The role is also eligible for Wipro’s standard benefits, including medical and dental benefits options, disability insurance, paid time off (inclusive of sick leave), and other paid and unpaid leave options. Employment in some roles may be conditioned on successful completion of a post-offer drug screening, subject to applicable state law.

Requirements

• Hands-on experience with the Rhapsody Integration Engine.
• Strong knowledge of HL7 v2.x and FHIR.
• Experience with REST APIs, JSON, and XML.
• Knowledge of X12 transactions, such as 278, 834, and 837.
• JavaScript development within Rhapsody.
• Database skills in SQL, Oracle, SQL Server, and PostgreSQL.
• Experience with SFTP and file-based integrations.
• Debugging and production support experience.
• Mandatory skill: IBM Rational Rhapsody.
• The description lists 3–5 years of experience for the mandatory skill; it also states 10+ years of integration development, 8+ years overall for B3 band, and 12+ years overall for C1 band.

Nice To Haves

• Five or more years of Rhapsody experience is preferred.
• Healthcare domain experience.
• Knowledge of OAuth 2.0 and API security.
• Understanding of integration architecture and interface engine patterns.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain interfaces using the Rhapsody Integration Engine.
• Design message routing, transformation, and validation workflows.
• Build integrations using HL7 v2, FHIR, JSON, XML, X12, and REST APIs.
• Configure communication points for APIs/REST, SFTP/file, and databases (JDBC).
• Create JavaScript filters and transformation logic within Rhapsody.
• Perform unit, integration, and end-to-end testing.
• Troubleshoot production issues and monitor interfaces.
• Work with healthcare standards including HL7, FHIR, and X12.
• Prepare technical design documents and deployment guides.
• Collaborate with business analysts, architects, and client teams.
