About The Position

Calero, the leading technology expense management solution for global enterprises, is looking for a Solution Consultant to assist the sales organization in a pre-sales role to qualify, manage and close sales opportunities. Reporting to the VP, Solutions Consulting, you will be responsible for serving the Calero customer base by identifying their needs, engineering adaptions of products, equipment, and services. In this role, you will also partner with the engineering staff to convey requirements to the client, provide insight into the technical options available for infrastructure, and aid in designing leading-edge solutions containing a wide variety of technologies.

Requirements

  • Experience in FinOps, Cloud Financial Management, or cost optimization tooling
  • Familiarity with the FinOps Foundation framework and principles
  • Experience designing and presenting technical solutions to meet customer requirements
  • Proven experience in providing complex data system solutions to clients
  • Experience in SaaS, Cloud software, or technology- related solutions
  • API integrations and middleware
  • Excellent communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Proven ability to support complex SaaS sales cycles
  • Organizational and time management skills

Nice To Haves

  • Certifications such as: AWS Certified Solutions Architect and/or FinOps Certified Practitioner
  • Previous experience in one or more of Calero’s principal solutions a plus

Responsibilities

  • Perform discovery, analysis of business needs, and define client requirements in conjunction with the account executives to determine technical requirements for project work
  • Act as a trusted advisor on FinOps practices, including cost allocation, forecasting, and optimization
  • Run workshops on cloud financial management and governance frameworks
  • Partner with Direct and Client Success Team to determine requirements, counts and configuration of managed service to provide a cost effective and thorough managed solution
  • Verify that products meet the prospects requirements and assist sales in technical qualification
  • Partner with Sales to ensure the SOW’s and proposals consistently include all important information
  • Responsible for the detailed completion and processing of all documents throughout the presales process
  • Report to the VP, Solutions Consulting on potential client needs and developing marketplace trends for product development consideration

Benefits

  • Base salary range for this position is $120,000 - $140,000
  • Compensation depends on numerous factors including the geographic location where the role will be performed, skills required, experience, complexity, travel, and market rate
