About The Position

As a Solution Consultant for ULD Asset Tracking at SkyCell, you will work closely with Sales and Product teams as a technical subject matter expert, supporting airlines, ULD leasing companies, ground handling agents (GHAs), and other air cargo customers throughout the pre-sales and implementation journey. You will engage with prospective and existing clients to understand their operational challenges around ULD visibility, fleet utilization, and ground support equipment management, and translate those needs into clear solution designs, product demonstrations, and successful rollouts. With a consultative and hands-on approach, you will show how SkyCell's IoT loggers, gateway network, and SkyCell Asset Tracking software address ULD location visibility, utilization, fleet efficiency, and lifecycle/billing needs — and you will stay engaged post-sale to ensure customers achieve a smooth, high-value rollout.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Computer Science, or a related technical field — or equivalent experience.
  • Proven experience in technical pre-sales, solution consulting, sales engineering, or implementation roles, ideally in air cargo, logistics, IoT, or asset tracking.
  • Practical understanding of IoT hardware, gateway/network infrastructure, and data-driven visibility platforms.
  • Experience with rollout/implementation: onboarding, configuration, early troubleshooting.
  • Strong communicator across technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Comfortable managing multiple workstreams across pre-sales and post-sale support.
  • Willingness to travel for customer engagements and on-site rollouts.
  • If you don't meet every requirement but bring relevant experience, we'd still like to hear from you.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as technical point of contact during pre-sales for ULD Asset Tracking opportunities - IoT loggers, gateways and software -, shaping value-driven solutions with Sales.
  • Prepare and deliver tailored product demos, presentations, and workshops for prospective customers, including warehouse, fleet, and leasing/billing stakeholders.
  • Participate in technical discussions with customers on coverage, location accuracy, data flows, integrations, and reporting.
  • Configure and manage demo environments and support the creation of proofs of concept or pilots.
  • Translate customer requirements into solution concepts and support proposal creation, RFP responses, and technical documentation.
  • Provide technical input into pricing, scope, and risk considerations during the sales process.
  • Support handover from sold opportunity to live deployment with Implementation, Operations, and Customer Success.
  • Guide deployment planning for customers: logger onboarding, gateway placement, zone/site configuration.
  • Help troubleshoot early-stage technical issues (connectivity, pairing, data quality) coordinating with Engineering and IoT teams.
  • Support training, enablement and adoption for warehouse operators, fleet managers, and technicians.
  • Monitor early post-go-live performance against success criteria, escalating and helping resolve gaps.
  • Partner with Product, Engineering, and Operations to ensure feasible, production-ready solutions.
  • Stay informed on industry trends, air cargo/ULD regulations, and competitor positioning.
  • Capture and relay field feedback to shape the product and engineering roadmap.
  • Represent SkyCell at customer meetings, pilots, and industry events.
