Solution Business Analyst (Richardson, TX, USA)
About The Position
ELEKS Business Analysis Office is looking for a Solution Business Analyst in Richardson, Texas. The role supports an application migration initiative for a client described as one of the top five health insurance companies in the United States. The client is dedicated to expanding access to high-quality, cost-effective health care and giving members information and tools to make informed health care decisions for themselves and their families. The Solution Business Analyst will gather and manage requirements, analyze existing VB.NET application workflows, and define future-state business and functional requirements. The role collaborates with business stakeholders, developers, QA teams, and solution architects throughout the migration lifecycle. It also supports the migration of Crystal Reports to Cognos BI, including requirements gathering, report analysis, and validation, as well as UAT planning and execution. The position follows a hybrid working arrangement, with 2–3 days per week in the office in Richardson, TX.
Requirements
- 8+ years of Business Analyst experience in enterprise application development projects.
- Experience with application modernization or migration initiatives.
- Strong skills in requirements elicitation, process modeling, and documentation.
- Ability to translate business needs into functional and technical requirements.
- Advanced level of English.
Responsibilities
- Gather, document, and manage business, functional, and reporting requirements.
- Analyze existing VB.NET application workflows and translate them into future-state business and functional requirements.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, developers, QA teams, and solution architects throughout the migration lifecycle.
- Define user stories, business process flows, use cases, and acceptance criteria.
- Support the migration of Crystal Reports to Cognos BI, including requirements gathering, report analysis, and validation.
- Support UAT planning and execution, coordinate testing activities, and facilitate issue resolution.
- Facilitate requirements-gathering workshops and stakeholder review sessions.
