About The Position

The Solution Architect provides technical expertise to build and deliver solutions that enable efficient and consistent execution of Land O’Lakes’ Quality Management System requirements. The role ensures solutions align with business, product, and technology strategies. It is based at the Corporate Office in Arden Hills, Minnesota, with a hybrid schedule of three days in the office (Tuesday through Thursday) and two remote days (Monday and Friday). The position is not fully remote and does not offer relocation assistance. The architect designs significant aspects of application architecture, evaluates business requirements, and defines implementation options using security-by-design principles. In collaboration with domain architects, the role evaluates technologies, applications, tools, and platforms for factors such as cost, performance, user experience, security, scalability, and maintainability. It develops high-level architecture designs that integrate components and systems into cohesive solutions, identifies and mitigates risks, and drives work from concept through implementation. The role also drives the product technical roadmap, communicates the feasibility and impact of technology options, and helps prioritize and enable team work while championing Agile practices and collaboration. Working with Product Owners and business stakeholders, the architect prioritizes features according to customer needs, regulatory requirements, market trends, and business priorities, and owns the prioritization of nonfunctional requirements. The position creates architectural documentation, shares knowledge, mentors development teams and Quality Systems administrators, promotes architectural best practices, and uses dedicated time to explore technologies and approaches that could improve software development.
