About The Position

As a Solution Architect, you will play a key role in designing scalable, secure, and sustainable technology solutions that enable Safety National’s strategic initiatives. Working closely with Product Management, Agile Release Trains (ARTs), product teams, and architecture leaders, you will translate business needs into solution designs that align with enterprise architecture standards while supporting efficient delivery. You’ll serve as a trusted technical advisor, helping teams navigate complex integration challenges, modern engineering practices, and architectural decisions that drive long-term business value. Success in this role requires strong collaboration across business and technology teams, the ability to evaluate solution alternatives, and a passion for building modern enterprise solutions that are secure, reliable, and positioned for future growth.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field is required. Equivalent professional experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Experience documenting end to end initiative solution diagrams using C4 or a similar diagraming standard.
  • 7 or more years of experience in solution architecture, software engineering, systems integration, or a related technical discipline.
  • Experience designing and supporting implementation of complex, multi-system enterprise solutions.
  • Working knowledge of solution architecture concepts including system integration, APIs, application design, and data flows.
  • Familiarity with cloud environments, preferably Microsoft Azure.
  • Understanding non-functional requirements including security, scalability, performance, and reliability.
  • Familiarity with enterprise architecture standards, governance, and architectural best practices.
  • Ability to identify and resolve cross-functional integration and interoperability challenges.
  • Strong analytical, critical-thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to collaborate across product, business, and technology teams in an Agile environment.
  • Ability to translate business strategies and capabilities into actionable solution architecture guidance and implementation considerations.
  • Ability to quickly learn new technologies, business domains, enterprise platforms, and delivery constraints.
  • Ability to evaluate solution alternatives while considering business, operational, financial, architectural, and risk impacts.
  • Must be presently authorized to work in the U.S. without a requirement for work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future.
  • This position allows for a hybrid work schedule which includes a minimum of 3 days per week in our St. Louis Corporate Office, located at 1832 Schuetz Rd., Saint Louis, MO. All employees are required to submit work-from-home requests and follow our Work from Home policy, which will be provided to all candidates selected to interview.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working within Agile or SAFe delivery environments.
  • Familiarity with containerization, CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure-as-code, observability, and modern engineering practices.
  • Experience evaluating vendor platforms and emerging technologies for enterprise adoption.
  • Professional certifications such as SAFe, TOGAF, Microsoft Azure, cloud architecture, or enterprise architecture frameworks.
