About The Position

The Solution and Technical Architect supports large Federal Government information technology (IT) programs that design and deliver homeland security systems and innovative solutions. They have 10 years of architecting system and/or cloud solutions in a complex technology environment. They have extensive experience working with senior government clients to design and help oversee throughout implementation to achieve mission results. Arc Aspicio is currently working in a hybrid work environment where work will be performed at client sites, the Arc Aspicio DC office, and remotely. All candidates must live in the Washington, DC area at the time of employment.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of relevant experience on IT projects using an Agile or similar software engineering lifecycle and related tools
  • Demonstrated capability to achieve proficiency quickly in new technologies and accelerate designs and solutions
  • Direct experience designing, developing, and implementing a modernized software application
  • Experience supporting and testing cloud-based technology (e.g., AWS)
  • Experience with, but not limited to the following technologies - Amazon Web Services native services, PostgreSQL, Tomcat, Java, WSDL, DNS, SOAP, REST, XML, Customer Managed Keys (CMKs), and Transport Layer Security (TLS)
  • Experience in Federal government IT projects
  • Direct experience with client and stakeholder engagement (including senior-level leaders) and delivering work products for clients in a complex stakeholder environment
  • Proven to be flexible and thrive in a dynamic, ambiguous, and complex work environment and manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
  • Outstanding written and oral communication and collaboration skills and strong leadership potential
  • Ability to collaborate and work effectively remotely and in-person
  • Technologically savvy, especially with Microsoft products and use of collaboration tools like SharePoint
  • Desire to join a consulting firm and learn business concepts; loves to collaborate and reach out to get involved in company events, offerings, and special projects
  • Ability to work in the Washington, DC metro area and travel to different locations
  • Currently holds or has the ability to obtain and maintain security clearance
  • Critical Skills: Executive presence, entrepreneurial spirit, strong work ethic, collaborative mind-set, excellent problem-solving skills, and interest in working in a consulting firm.

Responsibilities

  • Provide a range of technology and cloud support expertise to the government chief architect
  • Develop innovative solutions across a range of technologies to meet future government business and technical needs
  • Assess current and future program systems and processes to determine areas that may benefit from machine intelligence and smart technology
  • Develop artificial intelligence solutions to advance government mission initiatives
  • Work closely with a development team and clients to establish the technical requirements and design for legacy application modernization
  • Perform code reviews to understand the legacy application software architecture, and determine and document areas for improvement and focus
  • Provide quality assurance and oversight
  • Consult with application and industry subject matter experts to align business requirements with technical requirements
  • Assist on additional Engineering team projects and initiatives as requested
  • Collaborate with our clients to solve tough problems, delivering outstanding client service, and achieving mission results
  • Apply excellent consulting, business analysis, and communications skills to quickly identify problems, analyze challenges, and recommend solutions to our team and our clients
