Requirements
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Previous soldering experience
- Previous experience in operation of electronic equipment
- Must be able to routinely lift 25 pounds
- Must be able to work in fast-paced environments
- Occasional overtime to meet business needs
- Must be conversant in English for safe and effective performance of the job
- Must be eligible to work in the U.S.
Nice To Haves
- Soldering certification (IPC) is a plus (but not required)
Responsibilities
- Solder cable leads to through-hole locations on printed circuit boards
- Some surface-mount technology (SMT) or ball grid array (BGA) soldering
- Cut, strip, tin, solder and terminate cable assemblies
- Produce electronic assemblies from start to finish according to the schedule, specifications, engineering drawings, and work instructions
- Fabricate or modify parts, using provided shop equipment and tools
- Attach appropriate labels to wires, products and packages
- Test product functional performance to ensure conformance to specifications prior to shipment
- Record any defects or other data as requested by supervisors or managers
- Where applicable, understand serialized processes and trace data through product’s serial number
- Pack finished goods into correct packages and boxes
- Notify supervisor of any mechanical or material issues
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
- Perform other duties as required and assigned; duties and activities may change over time
