Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Previous soldering experience
  • Previous experience in operation of electronic equipment
  • Must be able to routinely lift 25 pounds
  • Must be able to work in fast-paced environments
  • Occasional overtime to meet business needs
  • Must be conversant in English for safe and effective performance of the job
  • Must be eligible to work in the U.S.

Nice To Haves

  • Soldering certification (IPC) is a plus (but not required)

Responsibilities

  • Solder cable leads to through-hole locations on printed circuit boards
  • Some surface-mount technology (SMT) or ball grid array (BGA) soldering
  • Cut, strip, tin, solder and terminate cable assemblies
  • Produce electronic assemblies from start to finish according to the schedule, specifications, engineering drawings, and work instructions
  • Fabricate or modify parts, using provided shop equipment and tools
  • Attach appropriate labels to wires, products and packages
  • Test product functional performance to ensure conformance to specifications prior to shipment
  • Record any defects or other data as requested by supervisors or managers
  • Where applicable, understand serialized processes and trace data through product’s serial number
  • Pack finished goods into correct packages and boxes
  • Notify supervisor of any mechanical or material issues
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
  • Perform other duties as required and assigned; duties and activities may change over time
