About The Position

Milwaukee Electronics is seeking a skilled Assembler II to join their team. This is a hands-on position focused on building high-quality electronic assemblies from start to finish. The role involves precision work and a commitment to quality craftsmanship. The position follows a unique schedule of working only 3 days a week, resulting in a 4-day weekend every week, while still fulfilling full-time hours. This schedule is designed to offer a good work-life balance and opportunities for overtime pay for hours worked over 10 in a day.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • At least 1 year of experience in electronics manufacturing, electronic assembly, or a related environment
  • Hands-on soldering experience with small printed circuit board assemblies
  • Ability to meet IPC Class 2 workmanship standards
  • Ability to read, understand, and follow technical instructions written in English
  • Basic computer and data-entry skills
  • Ability to successfully complete a hands-on soldering assessment

Nice To Haves

  • IPC-A-610 and/or J-STD-001 certification (current or expired accepted)
  • Experience with ESD protocols and cleanroom practices
  • Familiarity with assembly documentation and travelers

Responsibilities

  • Assemble printed circuit boards (PCBs) and box-build electronic assemblies
  • Perform hand soldering (lead & lead-free)
  • Inspect assemblies visually and functionally per IPC workmanship criteria
  • Test completed assemblies and document results
  • Follow work instructions, drawings, and process travelers accurately
  • Meet productivity and quality expectations
  • Participate in Lean and Continuous Improvement initiatives
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
  • Be a reliable, positive team contributor—attendance matters here
