About The Position

SunPower is seeking a skilled and experienced Journeyman Electrician to join its renewable energy team. The electrician will contribute to installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting solar energy systems, ensuring safe and efficient operation in accordance with industry standards and regulations. The role involves residential wiring and coordination with multiple crew members during installations, as well as effective communication with crew members and the corporate office. The position is full-time, with a stated schedule of 40–45 hours, and compensation of $80,000–$100,000 per year.

Requirements

Possess a national or state journeyman electrician license.
Have working knowledge of current NEC codes.
Have working knowledge and experience replacing residential electrical services and distribution panels.
Be experienced with the hand and power tools required for the electrical trade.
Be able to read and interpret single-line drawings.
Be comfortable working from ladders and at heights.
Comply with OSHA standards.
Be able to communicate effectively with crew members and the corporate office.

Nice To Haves

PV solar installation experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Perform work professionally and in accordance with national and local building codes.
Cooperate with team members to complete residential solar installations.
Diagnose and troubleshoot system components to resolve electrical issues.
Lead installation of electrical systems that interconnect solar arrays to the grid.
Ensure workmanship is good and compliant with current NEC and local codes.
