About The Position

SunPower is seeking a skilled Journeyman Electrician to join its renewable energy team. The electrician will contribute to the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of solar energy systems, ensuring safe and efficient operation in compliance with industry standards and regulations. The role requires residential wiring knowledge and coordination with crew members during installations, as well as effective communication with crew members and the corporate office. The position is full-time, with a typical schedule of 40–45 hours. Compensation is $80,000–$100,000 per year. Full-time employees are eligible for health, dental, vision, life, and accident insurance, an HSA savings account, and the opportunity to receive stock options. Requirements

Possess a national or state journeyman electrician license.
Have working knowledge of current NEC codes.
Have working knowledge and experience replacing residential electrical services and distribution panels.
Have experience with the hand and power tools required for the electrical trade.
Be able to read and interpret single-line drawings.
Be comfortable working from ladders and at heights.
Comply with OSHA standards.
Be able to communicate effectively and coordinate with crew members and the corporate office.

Nice To Haves

PV solar installation experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Perform work professionally and in accordance with national and local building codes.
Work cooperatively with team members to complete residential solar installations.
Diagnose and troubleshoot system components to resolve electrical issues.
Lead installation of electrical systems that interconnect the solar array to the grid.
Ensure workmanship is good and compliant with current NEC and local codes.
