About The Position

Green Rack, a subsidiary of Civic Renewables, is seeking a Solar Electrician for its Field Operations department in Columbus, Ohio. The role supports the company’s mission to replace conventional energy with clean energy by installing and maintaining solar electrical systems on residential and commercial properties. The position offers career development and an innovative, collaborative work environment. The Solar Electrician installs and wires solar panels, inverters, and other electrical components, troubleshoots electrical systems, and works with Solar Installers and project managers to complete installations on schedule and within budget. The employee follows procedures and safety requirements, maintains clean and hazard-free work areas, and performs additional duties as assigned. This is a full-time, hourly, non-exempt position. The stated pay range is $32–$35 per hour.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Certified electrician with experience in electrical installations and wiring.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety protocols.
Ability to work in various weather conditions and physically demanding environments.
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Nice To Haves

Familiarity with solar PV systems.
Previous experience in solar installation.

Responsibilities

Install and wire solar panels, inverters, and electrical components on residential and commercial properties in compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.
Troubleshoot electrical systems and efficiently resolve issues or malfunctions.
Coordinate with Solar Installers, project managers, and other team members to complete installations on time and within budget.
Follow established procedures and guidelines to maintain quality and safety standards throughout installations.
Keep work areas clean, organized, and free of hazards.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
