About The Position

Five Stones Research Corporation (5SRC) is seeking energetic candidates to join our established and growing Huntsville-headquartered team. This role involves working closely with SCRUM teams, developers, and program management to validate functional requirements while also contributing to the advancement of our automation testing capabilities. The analyst will analyze and validate user stories, technical specifications, and functional requirements to ensure comprehensive test coverage. They will follow and apply common Test & Evaluation (T&E) processes, including identifying requirements, verifying user needs, developing evaluation approaches, collecting and analyzing data, and reporting on findings. The position requires designing, writing, and executing detailed test cases and scenarios for functional, integration, and regression testing. The analyst will be responsible for all activities involving quality assurance and compliance with applicable regulatory requirements, conducting audits and reviewing/analyzing data and documentation. They will identify, document, and track software defects, collaborating with development teams for root-cause analysis. The role also involves assisting in the development, maintenance, and execution of automated testing scripts to increase test coverage and reduce manual testing efforts. Active participation in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives is expected to provide testing status and quality metrics.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree with at least 4 years of experience OR Associate’s degree with at least 6 years of experience OR High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of at least 60 semester hours of formal education working towards a Bachelor’s degree and at least 6 years of experience OR High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 8 years of experience.
One year of experience can be substituted by 15 semester hours completed towards an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree.
One of the following certifications: SCRUM, Leading SAFe, T&E, automation, AI in T&E.
Excellent communication skills—written, verbal, and interpersonal.
Ability to prioritize and execute tasks within restricted timeframes.
Detail-oriented, able to work independently, self-motivated, and a proactive team player.
Understanding of Agile/SCRUM principles and experience working within sprint-based development cycles.
U.S. Citizenship Required.
Ability to obtain and maintain an interim DoD Secret Clearance prior to start date.

Responsibilities

Design, execute, and maintain functional test cases to validate that application features meet established requirements and acceptance criteria.
Assist in the development, maintenance, and execution of automated testing scripts to increase test coverage and reduce manual testing efforts.
Actively participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives to provide testing status and quality metrics.
