About The Position

Predicate Logic is seeking a motivated Software Tester to join its team in Portsmouth, Virginia. The role involves engineering problem-solving, quality and safety assurance, testing equipment and manufacturing processes, and supporting software quality across the development lifecycle. The tester will work closely with developers, analysts, and Agile team members to identify defects, validate fixes, refine requirements, and help deliver high-quality software. Applicants must be eligible for a Department of Defense personnel security clearance.

Requirements

• Five years of professional experience, including three years of application software testing.
• High school diploma, related military experience, trade or industrial school graduation, or GED.
• Must be eligible for a Department of Defense personnel security clearance.

Nice To Haves

• Software testing certification is desired but not required.
• Experience with C#, ASP.NET, Blazor, Kubernetes, Nutanix, and containerization is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Solve technical problems related to engineering.
• Assure that products and their manufacturing processes meet quality and safety standards.
• Test equipment to ensure manufacturing processes operate effectively and safely.
• Interpret plans and drawings and contribute to the design and fabrication of test specimens.
• Collaborate with developers, analysts, and Agile team members to identify defects, validate software fixes, refine requirements, and ensure high-quality software delivery.
• Evaluate system behavior and maintain traceability throughout the development lifecycle.
• Create test plans and traceability matrices.
