About The Position

The Software Tester manages testing projects throughout each phase of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), testing new web applications and products across a range of testing areas. The role includes designing independent web test cases, performing system load tests, providing feedback to developers on automated testing strategies and design fixes, and improving product functionality, design, and usability. The tester also documents quality processes for replication at other locations and manages and trains apprentices, junior testers, and new developers.

Requirements

• One year of experience as a Software Tester.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Solid understanding of the software development lifecycle.
• Hands-on experience with functional, integration, regression, mobile, big data, cross-platform, component, security, performance, UI/UX, and A/B testing.
• Up-to-date knowledge of the latest testing developments.
• Excellent verbal and written communication in [X] language.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a relevant field.

Nice To Haves

• TMap, ISEB, or ISTQB certification.

Responsibilities

• Design independent web test cases for each newly developed web application.
• Provide developers with feedback about automated testing strategies, design fixes, and patches.
• Perform system load tests for new products.
• Manage and train apprentices, junior testers, and new developers.
• Work with other quality technicians to document quality processes for replication in other locations.
• Manage testing projects during each SDLC phase.
