About The Position

SAIC is seeking a Software Tester to join its Solutions and Technology Group (STG) team supporting an artificial intelligence product. The role is responsible for ensuring the product meets requirements and improving the quality of product releases. It also includes eliciting, documenting, and managing product requirements. The position can be performed remotely from anywhere within the United States, and candidates must be U.S. citizens.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree with five or more years of relevant experience, or a master’s degree with three or more years of experience.
Must be a U.S. citizen.
Must be able to obtain a Secret security clearance within one year of employment.
Experience performing both manual and automated software testing.
Hands-on experience creating and executing test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
Experience eliciting, documenting, and managing requirements.
Proficiency with Jira, Confluence, and other requirements or defect-tracking tools.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to varied audiences.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.
Pass the CompTIA Security+ examination within 90 days of employment.

Nice To Haves

Experience using Playwright and/or other automated testing tools.
Experience creating automated test scripts.
Experience testing AI-related products.
Experience working as both a software tester and requirements analyst.

Responsibilities

Develop and execute comprehensive test plans, schedules, cases, and procedures to ensure products meet end-user requirements.
Write test scripts and identify required test data for various scenarios.
Conduct walkthroughs of test cases and scripts with Test Managers, Requirements Leads, Project Managers, and Development Leads.
Perform and lead software testing activities to verify proper operation and identify defects.
Execute verification activities using defined methods, procedures, and criteria.
Document, communicate, and support analysis of test results, including resolution of open issues.
Investigate, document, and work to resolve complex problems, reporting progress to management.
Create and maintain test metrics and reports.
Elicit and clarify requirements using techniques such as interviews and workshops.
Document product requirements in the designated repository and manage changes to requirement baselines.
Conduct peer reviews of requirements and test cases.
Validate requirements with stakeholders and communicate them to software engineers for implementation.
Participate in product planning meetings and Agile ceremonies, including daily standups, sprint planning, backlog refinement, and retrospectives.
Document requirements for existing product functionality.
Identify and recommend improvements to current procedures and develop models for future configurations.
