About The Position

The Security Center QA Domains team is responsible for ensuring the quality, reliability, and robustness of Genetec's flagship physical security platform. Our team develops and executes comprehensive testing strategies and plans across the 3 main pillars of the Genetec Security Center ecosystem: video surveillance and management, access control, and license plate recognition across on-premises, cloud, and hybrid environments. We are currently looking for a Software Test specialist with a strong interest in testing large-scale, complex security systems to join the Video team. The ideal candidate brings strong skills in defining test strategies and building scalable test plans, thrives in a challenging, constantly evolving environment, and has excellent troubleshooting and analytical abilities to identify, reproduce, and investigate issues across multiple platforms, subsystems, and deployment models. An interest in, or experience with test automation and scalable validation approaches is highly valued.

Requirements

• Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science degree or equivalent professional experience
• 1+ years of professional QA experience
• Strong understanding of video systems, streaming, codecs like H.264, H.265, resolution, frame rate
• Knowledge of networking basics, latency, bandwidth, packet loss, RTSP, HTTP
• Experience working with and troubleshooting in a Windows environment
• Solid analytical experience and a desire for detail work and great troubleshooting skills.
• Knowledge of test methodologies.
• Fluent in French and English, both verbal and written (this role requires interaction with our international collaborators and customers)

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of software security and secure testing practices
• Experience working with Linux environments, including troubleshooting and basic scripting

Responsibilities

• Validate Genetec’s flagship product Security Center Video Management to ensure functionality, usability, stability, and reliability across multiple platforms, browsers, and devices
• Participate in the software delivery lifecycle using Agile/Kanban methodologies by collaborating with developers, designers, analysts, and product teams to improve product quality, usability, and testability
• Plan, design, and execute manual test activities including functional, integration, regression, compatibility, usability, and exploratory testing
• Develop, maintain, and execute automated test suites (end-to-end, integration, UI, API tests) to improve test coverage and reduce manual effort.
• Develop automation tools and frameworks for test environment provisioning, orchestration, and CI/CD pipeline integration.
• Identify, document, troubleshoot, and track defects/bugs, collaborating with development teams to investigate root causes and validate fixes
