Software Test Engineer - SOA C3
About The Position
Amentum is seeking a detail-oriented, motivated Mid-Level Software Test Engineer to support the SOA C3 application testing mission. The role performs functional, integration, regression, and performance testing across complex software modules that support warfighter readiness. The engineer works with developers, analysts, and Agile team members to identify defects, validate fixes, refine requirements, and support high-quality software delivery. The position uses experience with C#, ASP.NET, Blazor, Kubernetes, and containerized environments to evaluate system behavior and maintain traceability throughout the development lifecycle. Familiarity with ISDS applications is valued, along with a commitment to continuously improving testing processes and outcomes.
Requirements
- Active U.S. Secret government security clearance; U.S. citizenship is required to maintain the clearance.
- At least 3 years of software testing experience.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
- Strong analytical ability to troubleshoot complex defects.
- Effective communication and ability to collaborate with developers and analysts.
- Ability to interpret and validate requirements and user stories.
- Strong documentation habits and attention to detail.
- Familiarity with C#, ASP.NET, Blazor, Kubernetes, and containerized environments.
Nice To Haves
- ISDS testing experience.
- ISTQB certification.
- Experience creating test plans and traceability matrices.
- Strong understanding of Agile testing processes.
