About The Position

SAIC is seeking a Software Test Engineer to join The Theater High Altitude Area Defense (THAAD) program in Huntsville, AL. The Theater High Altitude Area Defense (THAAD) Interoperability Section of the THAAD Evaluation Center (TEC) is seeking candidates for a Sr. Test Engineer position on the team. The position involves duties on the THAAD Weapon System, particularly interface testing of the THAAD Fire Control Component (TFCC) and its various subsystems. The Test Engineer will provide technical expertise to the THAAD Interoperability teams’ effort to test and certify TFCC software versions through the life cycle of the weapon system. Support for this effort includes the testing activities associated with THAAD internal/developmental tests, preliminary testing of the Common Data Link Interface Module (CDLIM) software product in THAAD, the THAAD Army Service Level Test, US Army Interoperability tests, Missile Defense Agency (MDA) Ground and Flight test and the Department of Defense (DoD) Joint Interoperability Tests of the TFCC Link 16 interface. Duties include the operation of the TFCC, multiple data link simulation tools, analytical tools, analysis of collected Link 16 messages and the development of test documentation (test plans, test procedures and test reports).
