About The Position

We are Vista Innovative Solutions (VIS), a technical solutions firm supporting several military installations and federal agencies across the nation. VIS is seeking a Software Tester to support our ongoing contract. A Software Tester is responsible for ensuring software quality by designing and executing tests, identifying defects, and collaborating with development teams to enhance user experience.

Requirements

A bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field is typically required.
Proficiency in software testing methodologies, tools, and frameworks.
Familiarity with programming languages (e.g., Java, Python) can be beneficial.
Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail to identify issues and ensure high-quality software delivery.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and report findings.
Previous experience in software testing or quality assurance is often preferred, especially in roles involving manual and automated testing.
Must have Secret Clearance

Responsibilities

Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts to ensure software functionality and performance meet specifications.
Identify, document, and track software defects and issues, providing detailed feedback to developers for resolution.
Work closely with software developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and ensure the software meets user needs.
Prepare comprehensive reports on testing outcomes, including defect metrics and test coverage, to inform project stakeholders of software quality.
Stay updated with the latest testing tools and methodologies, and contribute to process improvements within the testing lifecycle.
