About The Position

CACI is seeking a Software Test Engineer to join their team. This role supports the Integrated Broadcast Service (IBS), a DoD system providing critical intelligence dissemination. The position involves working in a DevSecOps environment, contributing to modernization efforts, and supporting a government cloud transition. The role also includes supporting current production systems with break/fix and enhancement efforts.

Requirements

  • US Citizen with the ability to obtain a DOD SECRET Clearance
  • Bachelor’s degree and 1-3 years of relevant experience.
  • Ability to create test plans and procedures.
  • Familiarity with LINUX/UNIX operating systems and able to execute basic OS commands.
  • Comfortable working with Linux operating systems.
  • Self-starter who likes working in a team environment.
  • Solid interpersonal as well as excellent oral and written communication skills

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in Agile/scrum or DevSecOps methodologies with emphasis on testing
  • Any “recognized” certificate in IT-related topics. i.e. CompTIA, MicroSoft, major cloud vendors, Cisco, Oracle, etc.
  • Experience in areas of manual and automated test procedure execution, performance and regression testing
  • Experience with a script language (JavaScript, Perl and Bash etc...)
  • Experience with C++, Java and/or other programming languages.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with software engineers to develop unit and integration test scripts in a DevSecOps environment
  • Participate in Requirement and Design reviews to ensure effective unit and integration tests
  • Contribute to on-going transition to a government cloud with attendant changes in developer and test methodologies
  • Participate in System Requirements Reviews and Develop and Execute test scenarios
  • Participate in the planning and execution of this transition as related to effective testing during unit, integration and acceptance testing phases.
  • Support current production system break/fix and enhancement efforts to include requirements review, test formulation, test scenario preparation, test execution, and test summary preparation
  • Ability to perform requirement analysis and work independently to create test products test plans, test cases, test reports of good quality
  • Assist with technical artifacts including the Requirements Traceability Matrix, Use Cases, User Interface Specifications and migration plans
  • Monitor defects so that they progress in a timely manner and adhere to the defect tracking process/standards and ensure they are adequately retested when fixed
  • Identify potential testing or work product improvement.
  • Drive and implement automation process improvement items.
