About The Position

ASRC Federal Space and Defense is seeking a Software Test Engineer to support the C-SAR Contract in Colorado Springs, CO. As part of a small team, this role will support the USSF C-SAR contract. The engineer will be responsible for testing COTS applications, custom software, and satellite specific data products in the Command and Control System -- Consolidated (CCS-C) integrated environment supporting MILSATCOM operations. Applications are hosted on Windows, Solaris, and Linux platforms.

Requirements

Current Security+ Certification (DoD 8570 IAT Level II) or obtain one within 90 days from start date.
Active TS/SCI Security Clearance, or ability to obtain one.
3+ years of experience in a MILSATCOM developmental or operational environment or Satellite Command and Control systems experience.
BS degree in a technical discipline and 2 to 4 years of experience or equivalent experience in a technical environment.
Must be able to articulate technical concepts orally and in written forms both internally to the team as well as externally to the customer.

Nice To Haves

4+ years of experience in system/software application testing is highly desired.
Familiarity with Agile software development cycle is highly desired.

Responsibilities

Prepare and execute formal acceptance tests.
Evaluate software maintenance changes.
Collaborate with development personnel on unit and integration testing.
Provide daily test status during test periods.
Maintain regression tests.
Support the on-site sustainment team with user acceptance testing and problem diagnosis.
Utilize knowledge of and adherence to software CM practices for consistency across multiple systems.
