About The Position

WR has an opportunity for a Software Test Engineer to support the design and testing of geospatial/geographic information systems (GIS) using advanced programming languages. Position responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following: Supports geospatial-based software design and testing with an emphasis on: Graphical User Interfaces (GUIs), Backend logic and databases. Conducts software testing, troubleshooting, debugging, and performance tuning. Supports the evaluation and validation of software functionality and performance.

Requirements

Bachelor of Science degree, conferred or currently in the final year of a program, in Computer/Software Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or a related scientific discipline.
Three (3)+ years of Software Test Engineer experience.
Strong understanding of advanced programming concepts, including: Object-oriented programming, Design patterns, Multi-threading, Inter-process communication, Buffering, Persistence.
Solid understanding of data filtering, present-time filtering, future-time predictions, and interpolation/smoothing methods.
Ability to conduct performance tuning and debugging.
Experience with C++, C#, and/or Python programming.
Proficiency in a high-level programming language, with C++ and/or C# preferred.

Nice To Haves

Knowledge of technologies such as ASP.NET, Blazor, .NET Core, and Mono is beneficial.
