  • More than 5 years of experience with total-vehicle or component design and testing.
  • Strong verbal and written communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
  • Familiarity with reliability metrics including MTBF, MTTR, MR, and Ao.
  • Familiarity and experience with DoD Architecture Framework (DoDAF) and ICDs.
  • Ability to derive system- and subsystem/component-level requirements.
  • Familiarity with TeamTrack applications PIM and DTS, including TeamCenter Vis Mock-up.
  • Experience with the VDLS government system, including TIRs and test data.
  • Ability to acquire test data using different acquisition systems, including DEWESoft, Campbell, and B&K Noise Acquisition System.
  • Experience using test equipment such as ScopeCorder, power supplies, and oscilloscopes.
  • Experience creating and applying strain gauges on vehicles or components.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, results-oriented, and able to plan and schedule.
  • Must be able to qualify for or possess a U.S. Government clearance.
  • Ability to meet the described physical requirements, including regular close, distance, and color vision; hearing and hand-eye coordination; manual dexterity; agility; occasional climbing, kneeling, bending, stooping, crouching, or crawling; occasionally lifting up to 25 pounds; and occasional physical exertion and prolonged standing or sitting.
  • Ability to work in office and manufacturing plant environments, including exposure to extreme cold or heat, inclement weather, heights, and constant or intermittent loud noises.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, conduct, and facilitate component, subsystem, and system Software FMEA, FMECA, DRBFM, RCM, and FTA analyses with cross-functional teams.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify root causes and corrective actions for design and reliability deficiencies throughout development, integration, and test phases, and incorporate observed failure modes into Software FACARs, FMEAs, and FMECAs.
  • Review, track, and respond to Test Incident Reports (TIRs) and Failure Corrective Action Reports (FACARs) for assigned subsystems.
  • Work with Product Teams, IPTs, and System and Maintenance Engineers to evaluate opportunities to improve system reliability and reduce maintenance costs.
  • Develop and update RAM documentation, including DFR, FMEA/FMECA, RCM analyses, and TIRs/FACARs, and prepare packages for Assessment and Scoring Conferences.
  • Prepare materials for management, customers, and IPT meetings addressing product reliability issues, as required.
  • Support risk management by identifying, documenting, tracking, and managing risks.
  • Prepare for and participate in program/customer Failure Prevention Review Boards (FPRBs), Configuration Control Boards (CCBs), and IPTs; report status and metrics.
