About The Position

SAIC is seeking a Software QA Tester to join its Theater Operations Planning Toolkit (TOP-T) team supporting a Joint mission planning product. The role is responsible for ensuring the product meets requirements and improving the quality of product releases.

The Software QA Tester develops and executes comprehensive test plans, schedules, cases, and procedures; performs software testing to verify proper operation and identify defects; and documents, communicates, and supports analysis of test results, including resolution of open issues. The role also validates requirements with stakeholders and communicates them to software engineers, documents requirements for existing product functionality, and recommends improvements to procedures while developing models for future configurations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree and two years of experience, or five or more years of experience in lieu of a degree.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Experience in both manual and automated testing.
• Experience writing and executing test cases, test scripts, and test plans.
• Experience with defect tracking and management tools such as JIRA.
• Knowledge of functional, regression, integration, system, usability, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
• Must be able to obtain a full Secret clearance; an Interim Secret clearance is required before starting, and SAIC will help obtain it.
• Must be a current U.S. citizen.

Nice To Haves

• Advanced certification(s) in testing or quality assurance, such as ISTQB, CSTE, or CSQA.
• U.S. Air Force or U.S. military service with working knowledge of flight planning, LVC, and flight debriefings.
